Summer is typically too hot here in Florida for races, but we have a few upcoming Father’s Day races in the area. We ran one a couple years ago and it was such a nice morning, many families out running or walking together. Whether you are a father and want to include your family in a nice morning run, or if you are a runner and would love to get your dad out there with you, it’s a fun event to do to spend quality time together.

Richard’s Father’s Day Family Walk / Jog

Sunday June 19 – Ulele Restaurant, 1810 N. Highland Ave., Tampa, FL 33602

This is a non-timed fun run, either a 5K or 1 mile, your choice. It is a family-friendly event, parents are encouraged to bring their children and stroll together. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Advanced Prostate Center Collaboration at Moffitt Cancer Center and other cancer centers around the country.

The Great Father’s Day Race 5K Run/Walk Tampa

Sunday June 19 - Al Lopez Park, 4810 N. Himes Ave. Tampa, FL 33614

This is a chip-timed event with awards for top finishers. Rain or shine, this event takes place at Al Lopez Park. This event is perfect for the whole family. With only 900 guaranteed spots, you’ll want to register soon.
